Geïnspireerd door 2021: Performers en makers laten zich inspireren op kunst en muziek gemaakt door Facetten kunstenaars in 2021. Onder andere:
Sasha Groep maakt de compositie ‘High Tide/Breakwater/Safe Haven’ dat tussen de woorden van Aafke Steenhuis klinkt in haar lezing ‘De Grote Wilde Vaart’, op zondag 30 oktober om 15 uur in het Weefhuis.
Sasha Groep: “In ‘High tide / Breakwater / Safe haven’ ga ik – met Aafke Steenhuis’ ‘De Grote, Wilde Vaart’ als tourist guide – op zoek naar de grote havens van de wereld. Ik ga op zoek naar de waterdruppels die het verhaal van de havens schrijven. Op zoek naar de vissen die er zwemmen en de vissers die de vissen vangen. Op zoek naar de havenwerkers en de vracht die ze laden en lossen.”

What’s Cooking?
Inspired by 2021: Performers and creatives from age 11-80 are getting inspired by art and music made by artists from the Facetten circle in 2021. Several clusters of inspiration:
Sasha Groep composed ‘High Tide/Breakwater/Safe Haven’, which will be performed alongside the words of Aafke Steenhuis in her lecture ‘De Grote Wilde Vaart’, on Sunday 30 October at 15:00 in the Weefhuis.
Sasha Groep: “In ‘High tide / Breakwater / Safe haven’ I explore the large harbours of the world, with Aafke Steenhuis’ ‘De Grote, Wilde Vaart’ as my tourist guide. I go searching for the water drops which write the story of the harbours, for the fish that swim there and the fishermen who catch the fish, and for the harbour workers and the cargo they are loading and unloading.”
Body performer and percussionist Che-Sheng Wu is imagining a performance inspired by Amber Rijcken’s pictured story ‘Tankatuwe’ © 2020-2021. How will the two interact?
Translators and performer-artists Julia Henneman, Shira Wolfe and Laslo Antal blend sounds and favorite poems from Wolfe’s book ‘Wider than the Sky’ © 2021. Illustrations by Laslo Antal. Poetry reading in English, Dutch and Serbian, to reflect the three environments in which the poems were written. With live painting during the performance by Laslo Antal, inspired by the poems.
